Senior Technical Writer/Editor
As the program’s Senior Technical Writer and Editor, you will be trusted to create and manage technical documentation and communication services such as producing end user guides, process/procedure documentation, training materials, and technical communications in multiple formats (e.g., documents, presentations, web sites, video products) to their developer teammates, managers, and Agency customers.
An attention to detail and correct usage of formatting, grammar, and spelling is a must. This position also requires a strong ability to learn quickly and understand technical language and terminology around the products and systems being supported.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently in a team environment and be flexible around evolving needs while managing both schedule and overall commitments to meet project deliverables. The successful candidate must be eager to take on new responsibilities or skills to assure delivery of quality products and ensure agile operations within the team.
For some recurring monthly and annual products, the successful candidate will be the primary driver for assembling, compiling, drafting, and editing the products, along with shepherding those products through review processes; these activities will require managing communications with multiple stakeholders and team members, and knowledge of where each product is in the pipeline. 
Responsibilities:
•    Research and gather technical information from various sources, including subject matter experts, reports, meeting notes, and other source material to create technical documentation that meets quality standards and style guidelines.
•    Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders and participate in special projects as required.
•    Document meetings and synthesize notes into reports and other documentation.
•    Maintain multiple project websites and ensure compliance with accessibility standards
•    Create and edit training videos using TechSmith Camtasia.
•    Identify and learn new technologies quickly.
•    Remain current on new developments in technical writing, editing and publishing, including technological advancements that could provide benefit to teams and customers.
Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
•    5+ years of experience in technical writing.
•    Strong writing, editing, verbal, and communication skills.
•    Experience with a variety of documentation tools and technologies, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Strong attention to detail and quality.
Desired Qualifications:
•    Experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
•    Familiarity with Content Management Systems and accessibility standards, such as Section 508 compliance.
•    Experience working in government contracting.

The likely salary range for this position is $80,750 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
