USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments.

HOW IT Infrastructure Operations Manager WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Manages team to provide all O&M for physical and virtual server infrastructure.
  • Ensures secure day-to-day operations by maintaining, managing, monitoring, and administering server systems.
  • Leads team to perform OS functions including configuration, updates, patching and system hardening.
  • Maintains, manages, and monitors Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) and non-IAVA compliance.
  • Administers server systems on the Enterprise Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts and Bulletins.
  • Monitors server applications and services using authorized monitoring software (e.g. SolarWinds, VMware Aria Operations) to facilitate proactive response to hardware failure, misconfiguration, lack of capacity, over subscription, excessive latency, service degradation, and outages.
  • Formally notifies the Government regarding required modifications or upgrades, including vendor recommended patches and updates to servers.
  • Provides a POA&M as required for recommended modifications and upgrades to servers.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: BA/BS or equivalent
  • Required Experience: 5+ years of experience
  • Security Clearance Level: Must be willing to Obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility
  • Required Certifications: FITSP-O or GFACT or CASP+ or CCNP Security or CCSP
  • Preferred Certifications: ITIL 4 Foundations; Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert; or VMWare Certified Professional Data Center Virtualization; or TOGAF Certified Architect; or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP); or  Microsoft Certified Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • Location: Offutt AFB, NE

The likely salary range for this position is $166,280 - $224,968. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
