Job Summary

Geisinger's Heart and Vascular Institute is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Cardiac Surgery department at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.

Job Duties

The ideal candidate will enjoy a Monday - Friday outpatient clinic practice with no call, no weekends and no OR time. You will collaborate with 3 surgeons and 3 full-service AP's in the cardiac surgery department.

The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.

The successful Physician Assistant must be a graduate of an ARC-approved physician assistant program, eligible or certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants and eligible or certified by the State Board of Medicine.
