Join Our Team as a HR Partner!
Are you ready to make a significant impact in HR? We are looking for a dynamic Senior HR Partner to support leaders, managers, and employees across France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Morocco, South Africa, and Ethiopia. This role will be based in France and requires a senior HR professional with strong ownership and leadership skills. While this is not a team leader role, you will need to indirectly lead and drive HR decisions and navigate effectively in a matrix organization.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Talent Practices and Acquisition:
- Collaborate with centers of excellence to advise on talent practices such as pipeline development, local country policies, and cross-functional talent sharing and moves.
- Strategize on talent acquisition for the countries covered and enable employer branding.
- Partner with local universities and community relations to build, execute, and maintain talent pipeline strategies.

Government and Community Relations:
- Partner with government relations to represent GE's presence in-country, strategize on hiring and employment, and inform government officials of restructuring or downsizing.
- Interpret government regulations and industry standards to develop and align GE processes and HR solutions.
- Define and drive standard work across the region through strong knowledge of government regulations across multiple countries.
Compliance and Policy:
- Understand new employment regulations and develop appropriate applications in the GE work environment.
- Create or update country policies in response to local law changes.
- Sign contracts for employee job changes, promotions, legal entity changes, and work arrangements such as hybrid/WFH changes, based on local requirements.
- Monitor and proactively address any co-employment concerns, including understanding local legislation regarding outsourcing and contractors.
Total Rewards and Benefits:
- Work with Total Rewards to understand new policies, ensure benefits are market competitive, and recommend compensation practices consistent with the market.
- Review merit increase programs and partner with People Ops on country-specific payroll processes such as hardship compensation, remote work benefits, and severance calculations.
- Support country-specific benefit programs such as vehicle policies and establish guidelines for the country holiday calendar.
Employee Relations:
- Build strong relationships with managers and employees based on respect and trust to partner effectively, influence decision-making, and coach on a range of confidential and sensitive topics.
- Represent the company in union processes and negotiations, such as collective bargaining agreements and mandatory increases.
- Partner with facilities on GE footprint strategies, planning office space, and updating employment contracts or work permits as required.
- Facilitate local holiday recognition and coach site leaders on culture activities.
- Advise employees on various HR processes in coordination with respective CoEs, including onboarding, performance management, and clarification of local benefits.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in HR and Employee Human Resource Management in Europe.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
- Strong understanding of labor laws and HR practices across Europe.
- Proven ability to lead and drive HR decisions in a matrix organization.
