Job Description Summary
At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Company, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for engine and mechanical transmissions applied to both civil and military aviation (i.e., accessory drivetrains, engine thermal management, turboprop & helicopter reduction gearboxes, etc.).
We're reinforcing the Through Life Support Engineering team and competencies to support development and In-Service phases of high technology military and commercial programs. The team works in a dynamic and international environment and is creating strong relationship with most of Avio Aero sections (within and beyond Engineering), with other companies (acting as partner or suppliers) and with Government organizations.

The Through Life Support Engineer (TLSE) will define the optimized approach to plan and develop support for engines and/or components, in order to ensure the maximum availability and the minimum costs throughout entire lifecycle of the product, with a moderate autonomy in the role, guided by professional practices and policies.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Define internal Through Life Support plan and integrate within Platform and Power and Propulsion System Program plans
- Identify milestones and KPI's to enhance service contracts profitability
- Promote, guarantee and enhance integration within the different Through Life Support disciplines: traditional areas (like Technical Documentation, Material Supply, Logistic Support Analysis, Preventive Maintenance, In Service data Feedback and Training) integrated with new concept (for example Digital Twin, prognostic and Predictive maintenance...)
- Set up and maintain integration between Through Life Support branches and others Engineering departments: constant and effective influence on design from TLS
- Establish and improve integration and communication between Through Life Support disciplines and other departments
- Promote internal knowledge and diffusion of S-Series specifications as guidelines for Integrated Product Support
- Identify internal specialists and SME and lead inter functional teams aimed to support Through Life Support plan and requirements
- Identify S-Series Steering Committees critical to Avio Aero business and take active part to national and international working groups
- Develop specialized knowledge in the discipline, acting as best practice/quality resource with awareness of latest technical developments in own area.
- Contribute towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility
- Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in inter functional areas
- Take new perspective on existing solutions and use multiple sources to arrive at decisions
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- Develop persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field
Qualifications/Requirements
- Master's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
- Proven experience in Aerospace In Service business
- Good interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
- Clear thinking and diligent approach
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Availability to business travel
- Fluency in English and Italian
- Work Visa in accordance with local regulation, is required
