Job Description Summary
The Technology Manager - Digital Manufacturing leads a team of technologists developing next-generation digital manufacturing and inspection solutions to support GE Aerospace's supply chain for current and future products. Reporting to the Technology Director - Materials & Manufacturing Technologies, the Technology Manager drives their team's strategy, ensures operational excellence (including safety and compliance, resource planning, finance), is responsible for their team's execution on GE Aerospace and government-funded programs, and provides guidance and coaching to team members on technical and career direction.

- Lead a multi-disciplinary team of technologists with expertise in digital manufacturing
- Own team technical and operation functions as developed in collaboration with the Technology Director; this will include all elements of strategy definition, goal setting, recruiting, safety & compliance, finance, resource planning, operating rhythms, and project execution
- Work closely with the Technology Director, GE Aerospace leadership and key partners to develop/refine the vision and strategy for the Digital Manufacturing team
- Enable technology program execution and technology transition; meeting deliverables, budgets, and schedules, while also contributing technically to projects
- Demonstrate operational excellence including in resource planning, plant and equipment strategy and planning, FLIGHT DECK implementation, and continuous improvement
- Provide focused operational coaching (project/program management, Lean principles, etc.) and career coaching
- Recruit top talent, provide mentoring, coaching, and development opportunities to grow team members
- Establish, maintain, and grow strategic relationships with GE Aerospace partners and external community in areas of need for the organization
- Represent and promote GE Aerospace Research in the global technical community
- Create an open environment and cross sharing of technology. Collaborate across disciplines and actively contribute to the Technology Manager/people leader community at the site
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Proven track record of promoting compliance and safety practices
- Demonstrated impact, technical project leadership capability and ability to lead, build and energize cross-functional teams in relevant high-impact technology area
- Expertise in at least one of the following areas: model-based manufacturing, computational geometry, high-precision robotic programming, digital inspection
- Proven ability to continuously improve the culture of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to influence at senior levels
- Demonstrated ability to achieve operational excellence
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY
Desired Characteristics:
- Doctorate in a relevant technical discipline

The base pay range for this position is 130,000 - 240,000 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on March 16, 2025
