The TA Military Programs Manager will shape and support GE Aerospace's talent strategy to attract and retain Military talent. The TA Military Programs Manager will develop partnerships with military transition offices, Veteran organizations, and university Veteran centers to promote GE Aerospace. Responsibilities include participating in job fairs, workshops, and mentorship programs to recruit military talent, collaborating with People Leaders and Recruiters to increase Veteran hiring, and providing guidance on military recruitment.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain partnerships with on-base transition assistance offices, Veteran service/support organizations, and student Veteran centers at universities to the promote GE Aerospace brand in the Veteran space
  • Participate in virtual and in-person military job fairs, workshops, and mentorship opportunities to promote GE Aerospace opportunities
  • Proactively engage in the Veteran space to understand how to best source, assess, and recruit top military talent for GE Aerospace
  • Partner with People Leaders and Recruiters across key COEs to increase Veteran hiring across the organization
  • Provide expert guidance on all aspect of military and Veteran hiring to different COEs
  • Participate as a strategic member of the GE Veteran's Network Hire Pillar
  • Partner with GE Aerospace early careers team to advocate for student Veteran access to GE Aerospace Co-Ops, Internships, and leadership and development programs
  • Report metrics to track overall hiring activity progress and event ROI
  • Provide support and coaching to current GE Aerospace Veterans seeking a career change within the company
  • Organize and publicize Veteran candidate pools with People Leaders, Recruiters, and the sourcing team to pull-through talent opportunities
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in the Workday & Phenom and track recruitment metrics for data-driven recommendations
  • Deliver training and education for employees to increase the awareness of the needs of the military diversity dimension. This includes ownership of any future Recruiter/Hiring Manager Boot Camps and other train the trainer materials

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field OR high school diploma/GED with 7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of three years of HR/Talent Management experience
  • Prior military service in a leadership position

Desired Characteristics:

  • Five or more years of experience in HR/Talent Management
  • Demonstrated experience leading large successful projects
  • Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Skilled in engaging large audiences in-person and in virtual environments
