An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Quality Leadership team at Dowty. The Supply Chain Quality leader will take responsibility for leading a team of Quality professionals at our Brockworth headquarters. With responsibilities across both new make and aftermarket services. This role will interface with our customers manage customers Quality interface and lead the team in supporting shop operations and driving improvement projects.
Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead the Quality function for supply chain quality matters supporting operations and engineering teams in achieving business ambitions
- Lead flight deck adoption to drive Quality improvements and structure Quality teams standard work
- Develop and lead supply chain Quality team
- Lead Customer interface on Quality matters
- Identify and scope projects that impact business KPIs reducing customer disruptions and CoPQ
- Support Global Quality Leader in WOR and MOR reporting.

Desired Characteristics:
- Experience in a supply chain Quality function within a manufacturing or aircraft maintenance organisation
- Outstanding customer focus and understanding of customer needs
- Responsible and accountable for meeting supply chain quality requirements
- Good interpersonal and team skills
- Excellent ability to work with digital tools and data
- Ability to influence others and lead teams.
- High resilience and ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrable problem solving skill, tools and techniques
- Proven analytical and organisational ability
- Knowledge of at least one of: composite layup and cure / machining / mechanical assembly, NDT or Metrology
- Good oral, written communication + presentation skills.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Relevant technical education or degree in Quality / Lean or related engineering discipline
- Proven experience in QC Engineering, Quality System Planning and/or Customer Quality
- Working knowledge of EASA/CAA Part 21G and/or Part145 approvals
- Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 requirements
- Certified Auditing skills
- Competent lean practitioner.
