Job Description Summary

The Capacity Assessment Leader is a team member within the Supplier Partnership Office and is responsible to lead supplier capacity and capability engagements with high priority and high-risk suppliers. Collaborates with the GE Aerospace Supplier team to position the supplier for future delivery success and meet customer demand over the long range. Partners with internal GE Aerospace Supplier / Readiness teams to manage the action plan monitoring and closure. Assure that the supplier capacity results meet the quality and delivery requirements as inputs to Readiness and the S&OP process.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

  • Receive business inputs on high risk / high priority suppliers and work with fulfillment, commercial and readiness resources to schedule on-site capacity assessment for designated suppliers.
  • Determine medium / long-term demand for the suppliers, assuring that the demand horizon accounts for the current statement of work and any planned demand changes for New Product Introduction, Source Changes, and for multi-sourced part numbers, the current and future work split for the supplier.
  • Complete on-site capacity assessments at supplier location.
  • Analyze results of the capacity assessment with the supplier to identify and prioritize the demand and supply gaps, bottlenecks, and constraints.
  • Develop action plans to eliminate bottlenecks and mitigate supply constraints and build supplier capacity capability to robustly meet our customer demand for the medium / long term horizon.
  • For suppliers that are resisting the standard capacity assessment process, work with the appropriate GE Aerospace resources and determine the alternate methods to identify the supply constraints and develop mitigation plans.
  • Represent GE Aerospace with external suppliers; build and use these relationships to improve adoption of GE Aerospace initiatives at the supplier.
  • Provide improvement opportunities to suppliers based on genba observations.
  • Participate in Capacity Team daily management rhythms to plan and execute capacity assessment and to identify improvement opportunities with process and tools.
  • Continuously improve the capacity assessment process, standard work, and tools for improved capacity execution. Become proficient in the understanding and application of Flight Deck / Lean methodologies.
  • Provide recommendations and improvements across GE Aerospace with cross-functional partner organizations.
  • Required active role in contributing to team strategy, decision-making, and short, medium and long-term projects.
  • Act as a project leader in projects involving the business and other cross-functions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or institution
  • 5 plus years' experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or Sourcing
  • Operational and manufacturing environment experience

NOTE: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience.

The base pay range for this position is 108,400.00 - 144,500.00 - 180,700.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on February 28, 2025
