As the Structural Castings Operations Leader, you will support the commodity to drive the achievement of business outcomes through strong operation rhythms, deployment of FLIGHT DECK and continuous improvement of processes. This role requires a high amount of autonomy, and significant levels of operational judgment to achieve outcomes for specific KPI performance and strategic initiative implementation. This role will directly influence the team's ability to achieve quality and timeliness of objectives. Influencing, motivating and coaching skills will be required on a daily basis. Additionally, this role will have ownership over the Structural Casting Tooling process.

To do well in the role, you must have a combination of people, leadership & communication skills, sourcing expertise, an eye for detail and great organizational skills. Requires high "say do ratio" as well as the ability to process and analyze data and stakeholder feedback to support business decisions. The Operations Leader will work to build a network and connectivity across the commodity and also across the Sourcing organization - including the commodity's quality, delivery, compliance, commercial operations, and finance partners.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Accountable for all operating rhythms, KPI management, and operational and process improvements; facilitates connectivity across commodity and partner sourcing teams.
- Lead commodity operating rhythms with effective use of time, KPI's or operating metrics, action plans, problem solving & other FLIGHT DECK tools. Create and evolve operating rhythms as needed for outcomes. Train, mentor and coach the team through problem solving.
- Develop and execute communication plan for the commodity between leader, staff, and all local, global, or remote team members.
- Drive daily/weekly/monthly KPI management for the commodity and sub-sections. Develop thorough metrics, scorecards, and control plans to measure and sustain KPI's. Review ongoing performance to targets, evaluate misses and work to identify and deploy corrective measures with accountable leaders and/or escalate issues as necessary.
- Uses lean practices and behaviors to improve the effectiveness of the interaction between commodity strategy, buying, and contract & performance management team(s). Develop processes for handoffs between roles and functions, and inclusive of local, global or remote team members.
- Interface and lead engagements with other adjacent functions (Quality, Part Families, Commercial Ops, Sourcing Commodities, Compliance, Finance, etc) to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional coordination.
- Ownership of Tooling process for Structural Castings including process improvements, implementation, supplier accountability, and budget
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems across commodity teams, other sourcing organizations, or partner organizations such as engineering or product lines.
- Deploy process improvements within the commodity - inclusive of strategic initiatives, operational process changes, and digital tools.
- Support the site Kaizen process and the Continuous Improvement suggestions for ideas and suggestions from the teams.
- Execute solution-based approaches for team culture, training/onboarding, and change acceleration.
- Interprets complex internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work. Conduct training and follow up to ensure adoption.
- Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
- Role may require up to 10% travel
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with 4 years' experience in Commercial Operations, Sourcing/ Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Sales, Supply Chain or Contract Management roles)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Operations, Sourcing/ Procurement, Supplier Relationship Management, Sales, Supply Chain or Contract Management roles

The base pay range for this position is 160,000.00 - 190,000.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on January 22, 2025.
