Job Description Summary
The Metal Injection Molding (MIM) Technical Leader demonstrates accountability for functional and business objectives addressing product cost-out, delivery and producibility improvement opportunities in all phases of the product's life cycle. This engineer will work across the Engineering and Supply Chain organizations to define and execute Metal Injection Molding (MIM) technology development and application within the Business (across all product lines).
Job Description
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Leads MIM Council to define technology pipeline and ensure Business execution
- Work cross-functionally with Supply Chain and Engineering to develop new material capabilities and ensure design and MRL/TRL execution
- Use physics-based and data-driven methods to identify cost, delivery, and quality opportunities for MIM technology application across all Engine Lines
- Create Cost Estimates & Business case(s) to solicit Business support for resources & funding assignment
- Support supplier production development aligned with GE Sourcing strategy and business goals
- Participate in Supplier on-site action workouts and qualifications
- Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Materials Engineering
- At least 8 years of technical experience in an Engineering or Material Science role
