Job Description Summary

As the Sr. Staff Infrastructure, you will drive infrastructure, design, and deployment for Flight Data space in Aerospace DT in Amazon AWS. You will lead the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry, and market trends to assist in cloud services and/or operational support actives. You will be responsible for coaching and guiding cloud engineers with architecture and migrations. You will be responsible for multiple projects in a technical domain as a technical expert or internal consultant. You will work on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge of two or more specialized architecture areas. You will work across multiple technical or functional domains.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Architect and design high performance, scalable and secure cloud native and hybrid cloud applications, APIs, and Microservices for Amazon AWS.
  • Contribute independently on digital cloud native solution deliverables towards Architecture, Design & Development implementation.
  • Understand architecture patterns, design patterns and experience with full stack technologies like Java/JEE, Spring boot, Node.js, Python, Go, Angular etc. delivering solutions on IaaS/PaaS/SaaS.
  • Demonstrate experience in Relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Microservice architecture, Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, EKS/ECS) and experience implementing solutions for Cloud Systems (AWS), Cloud storage (S3, EBS, EFS, Backup, DR etc.)
  • Display understanding of Cloud security model, Cloud Network security and securely deploying infrastructure in the cloud
  • Integrate Identity management and modern authentication and authorization protocols such as OIDC, OAuth 2.0 using Azure AD, AD B2C, AWS Directory service, AWS IAM, Key management service, Secrets Manager etc.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of cloud infrastructure automation tools. • Mentor junior associates and help build the talent pipeline. • Contribute to strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR associate degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Architect, or IT
  • 3+ years of managerial and operational experience supporting production environments in public cloud-AWS/Azure/GCP
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Eligibility Requirement:

Desired Characteristics:

  • 4+ years of experience with AWS core services- IAM, EC2, EBS, VPC, Networking, Security, ELB/ALB, S3, RDS and others.
  • Experience with AWS database services (Dynamo, Redshift, etc.)
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure with automation using Chef/Ansible/Terraform/CloudFormation/Boto framework.
  • Understanding of Unix/Linux/CentOS/RedHat operating systems
  • Understanding of networking protocols like HTTPS, TCP, VPN, DNS, Subnets, Route tables, Firewalls, Load Balancers etc.
  • Scrum/PMI certification. • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible/Puppet/Chef
  • Experience with Monitoring & Alerting tools: Splunk, Sensu, Prometheus, Zabbix, Graphite, Grafana
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity.
  • Able to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility.

Note:

The base pay range for this position is $127,900 - $185,000 USD . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on or before 2/26/2025.
