Job Description Summary
This is a SOx IT Controls Leader role within the GE Aerospace business. In this role, you will be responsible for leading others to perform IT General Controls testing activities across compliance, operational and financial reporting objectives. Additionally, this role will be responsible for working with system application teams and finance counterparts to maintain scope and ensure open communication of controls status and effectiveness.

- Collaborate with business and functional partners across GE businesses and technology leadership in defining technical requirements for regulatory compliance to associated Governance, Infrastructure, Applications Identity Management and Cyber teams
- Define execution methodologies and project management practices to be followed by all projects within the program
- Develop leading practice methods to complete all aspects of IT General Controls tests that can be leveraged horizontally across the company.
- Prepare scorecards and dashboards that demonstrate the status and results on control tests.
- Understand and consolidate control requirements across various frameworks to ensure efficient approaches for control assessments.
- Design and perform tests of controls that consider common control elements while also ensuring sufficient coverage and nuances of various technologies.
- Develop and maintain deep partnerships with resources focused on access related processes within the Digital organization.
- Organize project teams comprising from internal and external technical and functional experts based on budget, scope and timeline
- Manage day-to-day execution of multiple interdependent projects by working directly with global technical teams.
- Coordinate execution across multiple projects and drive shared approach and outcomes tracking
- Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project
- Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting at various levels of the organization including leadership and executives
- Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching stakeholder expectations
- Track project outcomes realization and customer satisfaction levels through established metrics against service level.
- Ensure lessons learned are collected
- Perform initial and final financial reviews, and ensure ongoing budget tracking
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Accounting plus a minimum 12 years of IT professional experience
- Minimum 12+ years of professional experience in IT audit and risk management leading cross functional initiatives and/or large global projects
- Experience with general IT control (GITC) and application control testing
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
Desired Characteristics
- Understanding of the COSO/COBIT frameworks, SOx, ISO, internal controls & test plan development
- Public accounting experience preferred
- External certification preferred: CISA, CISSP, CPA, CA, CIA
- People management and personnel development experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills with orientation toward process improvement
- SAP / Oracle experience desirable
- Proven experience using project management methodologies to deliver business value and drive significant change across an organization
- Experience managing budgets including budget, spend, and liquidations
- Strong understanding and knowledge of various project and portfolio management methodologies with track record of implementing shared standards for large organizations
- Strong leadership skills with ability to influence outcomes and organize teams to attain shared goals
- Excellent influencing, interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal) with all levels of an organization
- Self-starter - requires minimal direction to accomplish goals
- Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities
- Strong team player - collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
- Experience working with others on a global basis
