Essential Functions & Responsibilities (definition of job):
- Package and Mail Handling: Receive, offload, sort incoming packages and mail, and operate the mailing system for outgoing US mail.
- Kit Processing: Scan, pick, build, and process kits, ensuring correct and usable material through visual review.
- Material Staging and Quality Control: Stage materials, move them as needed, and recognize and address potential quality issues ("turnbacks").
- Packaging and Shipping Requirements: Stay updated on packaging, shipping, labeling, and weight requirements, and follow written work instructions, processes, and customer manuals.
- ERP Transactions: Execute, transact, and view basic ERP transactions for all products, including raw materials, sub-components, finished goods, and repairs.
- Proper Packaging: Ensure proper packaging of individual and master packaging requirements, adhering to special handling requirements for parts with cure dates, shelf life, hazmat, MSDS, and ESD.
- Inventory Management: Maintain proper inventory of packaging materials and utilize all types of packaging material and equipment.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Team Environment and Lean Practices: Actively participate in a teaming environment that uses lean and 5S practices to improve products and processes.
- Skills and Experience: Basic computer, math, ERP skills, and written and verbal communication skills, with experience in material processes in ERP within a manufacturing environment and 1-year prior experience in stockroom, receiving, shipping, and/or warehouse roles.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations, climb ladders, continuously stand, stoop, and make turning movements.
- Education and Certifications: High School diploma or GED, and the ability to attain all required certifications of the department (walk behind, forklift, electric pallet jack, etc.).
