Job Description Summary

Responsible for development, execution, and maintenance of Supply Chain manufacturing strategies in partnership with U1 sites (Jacksonville FL, Norwich NY, Saltillo MX, and Dayton, OH) and suppliers. Determine Supply Chain make/buy strategy for new products and re-evaluate current products to align with site core competencies and Unison growth objectives. Represent Supply Chain in TG and 650.10 reviews with close collaboration with Commercial, Engineering, and Product Line functions on all new bid & proposal work. Partner with CME organization and plant leadership on MGPP, MGTP, and MGMP to ensure that process capability and automation initiatives are aligned with future growth plans. Manage complex issues of a technical and business nature within functional areas of expertise and be engaged in long-term planning that aligns with overall Unison strategy.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of project management professionals with responsibilities across global sites and multiple priorities
  • Create strategies and lead major supply chain projects and initiatives, including
    • Project Management activities
    • Substantiation and Execution Planning
    • Coordination / Communication with leadership team
  • Provide strategies that support and align with business growth objectives on
    • Capacity - footprint, people, and skills gap
    • P&E investments and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL)
  • Identify growth-related budgetary needs
  • Work in coordination with plants and Sourcing on program / part family transition to sister plants and 3rd party vendors
  • Work closely with Lean Leaders to leverage Flight Deck to design material and process flow in footprint allocated for growth programs
  • Establish a reporting status rhythm on strategic and growth programs to the leadership team
  • Provide strategy for overall production line start-ups as they transfer between sites and vendors
  • Support customer visits/calls and travel to sites and critical suppliers as needed, relative to manufacturing strategy and growth programs
  • Provide leadership and execute on cost competitiveness initiatives
  • Provide expertise to Legal, Compliance, Contracts, DT, and other functions to resolve wide-ranging business issues as it relates to the Supply Chain

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, technical management, plant management or people leadership

Desired Characteristics

  • Additional leadership experience in the areas of Business Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Quality is preferred
  • Six Sigma Master Black Belt or Black Belt certification or equivalent Quality certification and demonstrated Lean expertise is desired
  • Appropriate skills for senior leadership-level (SEB, SED, Sr. VP) presentations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of product and processes related to ignition systems, sensors, harnesses, power generation products, and other electronic systems.

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence results at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute complex plans
