Job Description Summary
This role will drive the strategic direction and operational execution of our enterprise data management transformation. It will also support our transition from legacy mainframe systems and Oracle on-prem ERP to Oracle Fusion, while establishing a robust data framework leveraging enterprise data management tools, such as Informatica and Palantir.
As the Data Governance Lead, you will champion data governance as a strategic initiative, ensuring enterprise-wide alignment on data accuracy, accessibility, quality, and compliance.
Job Description
The key roles and responsibilities of this job will be:
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Define and implement the enterprise data governance strategy to support a seamless migration from legacy systems, such as IMPACT and Oracle on-premises to Oracle Fusion.
- Champion data governance as a critical strategic initiative across the organization, fostering cultural change and alignment.
- Partner with DT, business units, and leadership to align data governance efforts with enterprise objectives.

2. Data Governance Framework Development:
- Design and implement a comprehensive data governance framework leveraging enterprise data management tools, such as Informatica and Palantir data platform.
- Implement and manage standardized work to develop and maintain data definitions, data dictionaries, business rules, and data lineage documentation.
3. Data Quality and Management:
- Lead efforts to standardize, cleanse, and enrich data to support the Oracle Fusion migration and other enterprise systems.
- Establish robust processes for managing data quality, metadata, and data lineage across the organization.
- Communicate data governance and data quality-related issues to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and resolution.
4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with technical teams, data architects, business analysts, and project managers to align data governance with system implementation plans.
- Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to relevant data privacy and security regulations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on data governance matters, fostering cross-departmental engagement.
5. Change Management and Training:
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance data literacy and governance awareness across the organization.
- Drive organization-wide adoption of data governance policies, tools, and practices, ensuring consistency and accountability.
6. Performance Metrics and Reporting:
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of data governance programs.
- Report regularly to leadership on data governance initiatives, progress, and outcomes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or institution
- A minimum of 5 years in skillset
