The role is guided by operating policy. Works with cross functional teams. The role has autonomy within the operational area or a segment within a larger business unit. The role may have a major impact on a small business unit or Family within a Function or P&L. High levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen are required to achieve outcomes.

To support this initiative, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Plant Leader to oversee operations at two sites located in Romania.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Manage an overall production facility to reach defined targets in safety, quality, cost, and delivery, ensuring continuous business improvement according to business standards. Be the visible and active leader of the facility, promoting a favorable and productive environment for all employees to achieve excellence.
  • Promote a Lean culture and tools to encourage problem-solving.
  • Define processes, IT tools, trainings, and value streams for both sites, ensuring alignment with Lean principles and ongoing transformation efforts.
  • Develop expertise within the function, influencing policy, recommending best practices, and interpreting internal and external challenges to inform decision-making.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts within complex manufacturing processes, employing sophisticated operational, product management, manufacturing, or engineering techniques, and collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.
  • Take full responsibility for plant metrics (SQDC), actively driving performance improvements and making strategic decisions to optimize operations.
  • Serve as a change agent, leading improvement initiatives and establishing long-term strategies for sustained operational excellence, leveraging financial forecasting as a tool for creating long-term strategy and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in financial forecasting and budgeting processes, leveraging financial tools and insights to support decision-making and achieve operational targets.

Required Qualifications:


  • Significant experience in Manufacturing & Projects and Initiatives. Knowledge level is comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • Proven ability to lead change and drive improvement initiatives in a Lean environment.
  • Track record of achieving operational metrics and P&L responsibility.
  • Strong strategic planning and financial management skills.
  • Fluent English (Romanian language is advantageous.
  • EU Work permit.

Desired Qualifications:


  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex messages and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
