Job Description Summary
At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Company, we've been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for engine and mechanical transmissions applied to both civil and military aviation (i.e., accessory drivetrains, engine thermal management, turboprop & helicopter reduction gearboxes, etc.).
In this role inside Military Life Cycle Engineering, you will be part of the team who support the in-service military engines.
You will support the analysis and improvement of engine safety and reliability.

- Assist in performing safety and reliability assessments for aircraft engines including Functional Hazard Assessment (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Zonal Safety Analysis (ZSA), Common Cause Analysis (CCA) and Probabilistic risk assessment (PRA)
- Assist in ensuring regulatory compliance with airworthiness authorities and industry standards
- Monitor and analyze fleet data to identify trends and potential reliability issues
- Contribute to risk assessments and safety investigations related to engine operation
- Participate to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for engine component failures and support corrective actions definitions or design changes
- Support the development of technical documentation, safety reports and maintenance recommendation
- The job requires good interpersonal skills, for customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others
- Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area
Qualifications/Requirements
- Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering from an accredited university
- Technical Accountability/Ownership and Customer oriented attitude
- Good English and fluent Italian language knowledge
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
Desired Characteristics
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, and execute programs.
- Experience in management of aeronautical products in-service
