Job Description Summary

He/she will develop repairs procedures on Military Engines, Modules and Components by leveraging on legacy technologies or new ones to achieve the objectives of maintenance cost, performance and life. Moreover, in the frame of MRO support, he/she will be in charge of supporting Brindisi Repair station in improving Shop Productivity Targets.
He/she will be part of Avio Aero Repair and Technical Publication team within the Services Technology organization reporting to the Sub Section Manager of the Military Repair and Technical Publication Office located in Brindisi.

  • Develop Repairs for Military Engines, Modules and Components, in order to achieve the objectives of maintenance cost, performance and life
  • Identify and develop new repair technologies and creative application of existing, to address business needs;
  • Define and coordinate the substantiation activities (design, analysis, testing, etc...) needed to demonstrate airworthiness of serviceable or repaired components;
  • Ownership of Technical Publications relevant to engines, components or Sub-assembly
  • In the frame of the new MRO Support Process, support Brindisi Repair Station in improving maintenance costs and TAT and in the solution of technical problems deriving from the repair processes and technologies
  • Promote the "concurrent repair design" with the Avio Repair Stations
  • Use of design tools: 2D / 3D CAD as Unigraphics, and in-house SW's
  • Use of Tech Pubs creation/editing tools

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master's degree in mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Sense of ownership, attitude for collaboration, proactivity
  • Good technical skills
  • Proficiency in Italian and English language
  • Good interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Clear thinking and diligent approach
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

  • Curiosity and passion for in service aviation engines
  • Passion for mechanical design
  • Good materials and special processes knowledge
  • Previous experience in Aerospace Design
  • Previous experience in Repair Engineering
  • CAD tools knowledge
