Job Description Summary

Manage, ensure, and improve capabilities to comply with external standards and regulations in the area of Quality Management System as per AS 9100.
Interact with other regulatory areas including Production Organization (POA), Maintenance Organization (MOA), and Maintenance Training Organization (MTOA).

The Quality System Manager will be responsible for defined work or projects. In this role; follow an individual and department work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate actions or short-term planning.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure constant alignment between internal policies and mandatory regulations, ensuring compliance at points of production and maintenance.
  • Monitor the organization's performance in terms of Quality and Safety through audits and control of performance and related Safety KPIs.
  • In cooperation with individual subject matter experts, assess and assure the organization's compliance with AS 9100 standards and regulations such as EASA PART 21G, EASA PART 145, EASA PART 147, and foreign authorities like SACAA. This includes defining policies, procedures, and monitoring their effectiveness and correct application.
  • Act as a change agent driving towards a "Lean" operation and ensure quality procedures are being followed through audits of procedures.
  • Support all elements of the quality system and drive overall quality culture in all aspects of manufacturing through awareness, effectiveness, and accessibility of the QMS.
  • Establish internal processes required to provide high-quality products and services, monitor the results of those processes with internal and external customers, determine root causes of any non-conformances, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with the Risk Manager for correct identification and assessment of risks.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the company in promoting the Safety Culture.
  • Develop specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in your job discipline or field, serving as a best practice/quality resource. Maintain awareness of the latest functional developments in your area.
  • Act as a skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others. Serve as a resource for colleagues with less experience, explaining difficult or sensitive information and working to build consensus. Develop persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within the field.
  • Impact approaches, projects, and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Influence the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of your team. These roles have significant input into their priorities and are covered by professional practices and policies, which are shaped by the role. Work within broad guidelines and policies, requiring high levels of evaluative judgment.
  • Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Take a new perspective on existing solutions, using technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside of your function to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires significant experience in the Quality and/or Production Regulation. Knowledge level is comparable to a master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience) in Technical or Aerospace areas.
  • Full time work experience in Quality, industrial environment preferred.
  • English language (C1); Czech or Slovak language (C2)
  • Direct people management experience
  • Ability to set firm but realistic deadlines and ability to meet them.
  • Developed organizational skills.
  • PC skills - knowledge of MS Office
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
  • Innovative and creative problem solver, with ability to think outside of the box and introduce forward-thinking solutions that drive business impact
