Job Description Summary

Leading Quality Management System Operations in line with best Industry Standard and Regulatory requirements, driving an operating system based on Flight Deck and Key Performance Indicators. Leading the Safety Risk management in collaboration with Flight Safety Team and Leading promotion of Safety Management System (SMS).

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Accountable for building an operating system around development the standardization and improvement of the Avio Aero Quality Management System, building on best Industry Standards (A9100 and 9110), incorporating mandatory, voluntary and customer requirements in collaboration with Quality Manager P21G for Production (New Make) and Part 145 for CRO/MRO (Overhaul)
  • Support SMS Leader to define, share and promote across functions, a new framework around Safety Management building standard work for sustainable operating mechanism by the means of a reactive and proactive management approach
  • collaborate with Quality managers in developing a set of metrics KPI and SPI (Safety Performance Indicators) in compliance with internal and external requirements and in collaboration with Part21G and Part145 Quality Managers and in line with Flight Deck
  • Prepare and support Manager Rapresentative with the Quality Management System Reviews with Senior Leadership level
  • Provide leadership for Hazard Identification, Risk quantification and Mitigation process and build SMS Hazard identification and evaluation organization in Collaboration with all Avio functions and GE Aerospace SMS team
  • Ensure training and qualification of personnel including Certifying Staff and auditors, and managing qualified personnel list in collaboration with Part21 and Part145 Quality Managers
  • Develop and execute an SMS promotion plan and spread Just Culture and Open reporting around flight Safety
  • Collaborate with all function in driving interface risk management control such as Customers and Suppliers

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • Strong and significant experience in quality and extensive experience in the aerospace and defense sector
  • Demonstrated experience working in a cross-functional environment and proven ability to influence and build consensus among multiple functions
  • Knowledge of matters relating to Quality Systems and auditing methodologies
  • Knowledge of the main Airworthiness rules and regulations acquired through specific training courses
  • Knowledge of Company procedures
  • Knowledge of EASA Part 21G and Part 145 Regulatory framework
  • Fluent Italian and English
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, acknowledge, develop, communicate & implement a strategy under crisis situations to ensure compliance
  • Experience in a global, matrixed organization structure
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management System tools, continuous improvement methodologies & in-depth understanding of Company products & related processes
