Job Description Summary

The On Wing Support Powerplant Engineer will be responsible for delivering technical solutions related to shop operations, workscope reviews, and capability evaluations for engines and components. This role includes managing service bulletins, modifications, configurations, and developing new repair techniques for GE-powered engines.

We seek a highly collaborative team player who can effectively work with various cross-functional teams on a global scale. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be based in Dallas.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and OEM requirements for Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives.
  • Evaluate and translate engine-specific work scopes, special work orders, and repair orders into enterprise tools.
  • Collaborate globally to create, review, and improve routers in the SAP/Oasis ERP system.
  • Coordinate with production and planning teams to complete engine repairs both on-site and offsite.
  • Initiate and follow through on DRs/DICAs, engaging necessary resources to resolve fleet issues.
  • Liaise with internal teams and customers to ensure seamless service and work scope execution.
  • Document technical data consistently with engineering policies and customer requirements.
  • Monitor and communicate project status and significant developments.
  • Participate in problem-solving and apply Aircraft Maintenance Manual and Engine Shop Manual procedures.
  • Engage in cross-functional teams for Kaizen-type events.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with global teams to meet or exceed engine requirements.
  • Voice opinions, even if they challenge current practices.
  • Demonstrate creativity in seeking solutions.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Degree in relevant Aviation Engineering (desired but not essential).
  • Experience and knowledge of Aircraft Engine maintenance.

Desired Skills / Experience:

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Experience in commercial engine repair.
  • Familiarity with both large and small commercial engines.
  • Green Belt certification or willingness to pursue it.
  • Familiarity with SAP Oasis, AMM, and IPC manuals.
  • Experience working with a global team.
