Job Description Summary
The GE Aerospace Research Programs Office connects the business, product, and technology needs of GE Aerospace and our customers (including the U.S. Government) with the technical workforce within the research center to provide differentiated solutions. As the Operations Leader, you will partner with the GE Aerospace Research technical & leadership teams to ensure efficient utilization of R&D resources and alignment to near-, mid-, and far-field priorities. You will support the Director of the Programs Office in balancing and optimizing the overall research portfolio mix across multiple stakeholder groups, including GE Aerospace, industry customers, partners, and U.S. Government agencies.

As the Operations Leader, you will partner with Operations Specialists, Platform Leaders, Business Development Managers, and other organization's team members to improve processes related to internal project opening, external capture, market intelligence collection, and others. Additionally, you will act as a functional architect that helps build a harmonized system vision for improved data systems that support modernized business processes - interfacing and representing the interests of multiple sets of internal stakeholders. Successfully being a catalyst for continuous improvement of the associated data systems and the business processes will be an expectation.
In performing the above, you may be responsible for specific site-wide projects that substantially improve related ways of working. These may impact safety, quality, efficiency and effectiveness of both the Program Office and larger team. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment, and will be a voice in organizational strategy and development.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate to ensure the safe and effective operations of the Programs Office and adjacent functions as appropriate.
- Engage with Platform Leaders, Business Development Managers, and Operations Specialists to apply discipline, organization, and collaboration skills to ensure effective execution of Programs Office responsibilities on Market Intelligence gathering, external shaping & pursuits, and internal program growth and platform roadmap alignment.
- Assist in creation of processes that leverage information and market data to understand technology trends, competitive landscape analysis, and emerging science to influence technology programs/portfolio direction to meet customer needs.
- Collaborate with the Business Management Office to drive a standard financial management approach that provides visibility to financial health consistently across the organization.
- Support the growth of FLIGHTDECK across the Programs Office; identify and lead continuous improvement efforts and develop/implement Standard Work for policies/processes across the organization.
- Own Programs Office KPIs and related metrics tracking and reporting. Assign, monitor, and track Action Plans assisting in Problem Solving when necessary. Own annual and quarterly resourcing plan for the organization as part of the Research quarterly estimation cycle.
- Ensure the creation of a commonly held roadmap for Data Systems Architecture and collaborate with Digital Technology team to ensure the fulfillment of the roadmap to the betterment of functional and doing organizations at the site.
- Work closely with operational, technical, and functional leadership to drive consistency across the Research organization.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate and 10 years' experience, or Master's Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience, in relevant fields.
- Proven history of project/program management with strong team-building skills
- Highly organized with the ability to monitor and manage multiple efforts & priorities effectively
- Demonstrated knowledge of opportunity pursuit/capture systems and analytics tools (e.g. Saleforce)
- Demonstrated knowledge of project planning tools and methods (e.g. Smartsheets, MS Project, Open Plan, etc)
- Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise resource planning and associated analysis tools (e.g. Oracle, Tableau, Spotfire, etc)
- Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across organizational boundaries.
- Demonstrated problem solving, collaboration, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance; prerequisite for a security clearance is U.S. citizenship.

The base pay range for this position is 121,000 - 202,000 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on April 20, 2025
