Job Description Summary

All activities relating to enhancing services technology integrating customer data, or capturing engines/products reliability, availability, maintenance, safety, and other performance parameters. Includes hourly, nonexempt, and exempt employees as well as manager roles responsible solely for these activities. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Executes standard operational/technical tasks typically subject to instructions and work routines. There is latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing work situations.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Create engine specific workscopes for field and shop jobs

• Escalations, working with CTPs to correct workscopes if additional defects/work are found to be necessary.

• Validation/Verification of any part substitutions

• Focus on changes in the routers which include changes to consumables and tooling

• Handle technical questions from the shop regarding the engine, workscope, tooling, consumables, configuration, and capability.

• Work to determine/recommend alternate solutions when faced with a challenge

• Determine/recommend departure record corrective actions to eliminate future departure records.

• Clarify manual /repair requirements.

• Support change of equipment notifications approval, a necessary task when the provided configuration list does not match the part number of a part actually found on the engine. (Example: incoming configuration chart lists P03, engine comes in with P05)

• Interact with technicians on general inquiries

• Work with the planning team for field jobs to coordinate workscopes to effectively complete engine repairs at an offsite location

• Act as technical site focal for Manual

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Aviation Technical Bachelor Diploma or higher
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in repair of commercial turbofan engines or Commercial Aviation Industry with relevant experience
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Able to work in a multicultural and international environment.
  • CAAC ME-TA or equivalent license is preferred.

Desired Characteristics:

  • In-depth Airline/MRO propulsion engineering knowledge
  • Familiarity with Engine Systems and knowledge of Propulsion Systems and Installations
  • Willing team player attitude, strong communication skills and problem-solving ability are a must
  • Possess a desire to learn and grow with advances in technology
  • Deep knowledge of GE and CFM engines is highly desired
  • Demonstrated aviation maintenance quality, corporate compliance and customer satisfaction skills
