Job Description Summary

Within the Military Product Management & Customer Support Organization, as On Site Customer Support Manager you will be deployed in Kuwait for a period of 3 years minimum and you will be responsible to manage and oversee the maintenance activities performed by the Avio Aero deployed team located within the Kuwait propulsion facility at the Main Operating Base (MOB). In this role you will be a representative of Avio Aero and act on behalf of the Military Consortium in liaising with the Customer for any service issues.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage the on site team at all levels, also caring about its growth and development
  • Manage and oversee the maintenance activities performed by the Avio Aero on site team
  • Oversee and manage the provisions of all Technical and Logistic activities through the on site team
  • Liaise and participate at operational/functional meetings with Customer
  • Continuously identify opportunities for improvement and service enhancement
  • Ensure compliance to relevant airworthiness regulation specifications (Technical Airworthiness Authority)
  • Supervise and ensure EHS compliance of the Kuwait propulsion facility and raise any maintenance requirements
  • Raise and monitor any quality issues affecting Operations and implement any subsequent mitigating action related to Quality Management
  • Manage all required documentation related to the deployment of the team
  • Issue and control all relevant documentation within local Operations
  • Support and integrate the Engine Field Service activities as necessary
  • Act as Certifying Staff as necessary

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace / Mechanical Engineering or a high school diploma with previous solid experience in maintenance activities on aircraft propulsion systems
  • Good knowledge of military propulsion systems, aerospace service and Customer operational needs
  • Capable of Technical Reporting
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and working around aircraft
  • Good knowledge of contract commitments and implications on KPI's
  • Basic knowledge of availability service and balance with inventory and cost-Excellent communication and persuasion skills at all levels
  • Strong ability to influence others and lead small teams
  • Good knowledge of airworthiness / flight safety regulations and compliance
  • Basic understanding of Fleet Management, modelling, forecasting and reporting
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Fluent written and spoken Italian and English
  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
  • Eligible for NATO Security Clearance
