GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.
Role Overview:
- Review legacy tooling/fixtures drawings and modify/re-create to GE engineering drawing standard.
- Generate CAD model from legacy tooling/fixtures drawings and reverse engineering from physical tool.
- Map the tooling process and perform time studies to create the VSM so as to identify improvement opportunities.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an undergrad who can commit to a 24 weeks internship so as to maximize the learning opportunity and allow for indepth hands on experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering is preferred.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerencing.
- Previous experience with Computed-Aided Design with established capability is required.
- NX and AutoCAD software knowledge is preferred.
