The Lafayette Engine Facility (LEF) Chief Inspector reports to the Plant Leader, works in a self-directed teaming structure, and is an integral part of the quality team. The Chief Inspector will ultimately be responsible to ensure the compliance, maintenance, and efficiency of all policies and procedures as outlined in the Lafayette RSQM, RSTM, and related governmental CFR's.
This job is expected to be an individual contributor role with direct feedback from site Quality Leader while collaborating cross functionally with all team members and subject matter experts inside and outside of the shop. The Chief inspector will provide leadership, guidance, and training regarding quality policies within MRO.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Support QMS and SMS processes to ensure compliance to the GE Aerospace Maintenance Standard.
- Process and submit Service Difficulty Report (SDR)
- Maintain documentation for repair station to ensure it is organized and readily accessible in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance and efficiency of all processes related to RTS and Conformity inspection
- Hold same privileges, authorizations, and responsibilities as Inspectors
- Work with HR & DER to ensure compliance with Drug Free Workplace Program.
- Ensure safe practices are used in compliance with all GE Aerospace and foreign and domestic government regulations.
- Support continuous internal and external audit readiness efforts.
- Participate in and lead continuous improvement efforts based on opportunities identified through daily management.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality) + Minimum of 3 years of quality experience.
- Chief Inspector must have at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- FAA Powerplant Certificate
