In this role, The Deburr Tech Machinist is responsible for the finishing product (machined parts/ components) to meet customer specifications regarding cosmetics, dimensions, and functionality.

Responsibilities:
- Deburr, polish, file, and/or sand surfaces of metal parts utilizing a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machines that will remove defects and smooth uneven surfaces.
- Examine surfaces to identify defects before and after finishing processes.
- Works independently, follows instructions, can concentrate for long periods of time.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply basic mathematical skills to the work environment (such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals)

Qualification/requirement:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.
- Ability and willingness to lift 25 lbs.
- Six months Deburring experience.
- Ability to use basic hand tooling.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other inspection gauges.
- Ability to understand and carry out simple one- or two-step instructions noted on blueprints and work instructions.
- Ability to identify hazardous materials and working conditions and apply the proper safety precautions and PPE.
Schedule: Tuesday through Friday from 6:00am CST to 4:30pm CST
Desired Characteristics:
- 3-5 years machine shop/prior aerospace engines machining experience
- Experience on Mazak, Okuma, or Haas machines are a plus
- Ability to read/understand G & M code
- Ability to use computers and learn Microsoft Office
- Education and/or training in machine shop operations
- Understanding of CNC and manual machine operations
- Basic programming knowledge to include reading editing of programs
- Experience in a self-directed team environment
- Lean manufacturing knowledge
Pay
The pay for this position is $20.00 to $23.00 a hour. This posting is expected to close on June 28th, 2025.
