Job Profile

Coach, drive and lead FLIGHT DECK behaviors, principles, and tools across an operational area. Drive cultural transformation resulting in step-change in operational business metrics.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the FLIGHT DECK Transformation on a product line within the shop
  • Responsible to help prepare and facilitate Lean events throughout the year
  • Responsible to coach and mentor the hourly team and support staff on FLIGHT DECK tools
  • Assist with leading/facilitating Daily Management (DM) and follow-up items on the issue tracker and the Lean Transformation plan
  • Facilitating and leading Value Stream Analyses (VSA's) and Kaizen Events
  • Introduction and enhancing current practices of DM and problem solving
  • Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders
  • Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations
  • Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision
  • Lead cross functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity
  • Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics
  • Guide others to consider a different point of view
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/event schedules simultaneously

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree from accredited university
  • Minimum 5 years experience Lean Manufacturing or graduated from a leadership program
  • Strong experience with MS suite (Excel particularly) need to be able to pull data from databases.
