Job Description Summary
The Lead Quality Management Specialist is responsible for product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. We are looking for a seasoned individual with a deep understanding of concepts, approaches and methodology used. This individual should also have a deep level of expertise in the technological field including the quality assurance of products, services and manufacturing processes.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Be responsible and serve as focal for the overall quality of the conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, and inspection of production engines
- Recommend changes to procedures to lead process improvements
- Coordinate with engineering on manufacturing related issues
- Lead Investigations related to quality issues - create 4 blockers describing investigation/action status - present to plant leader at bi-weekly quality meeting
- Identify/implement corrective actions for quality issues
- Develop and manage metrics and action plans to drive reduction in incoming quality issues.
- Support engine sickbays
- Ensure Product Conformity. Lead and manage completion of Characteristic Accountability, driving process updates and changes in design as required
- Update/create quality procedures
- Conduct quarterly workstation audits
- Serve as focal for internal (Customer, ie. DoD) and support external audits (DNV, FAA, etc.)
- Support and Lead Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis events
- Investigate/answer all product related quality concerns
- Support Quality CCC, present quality metrics
- Inputs and influences decisions within own discipline and area
- Works on very complex technological issues or manufacturing processes
- Coach and mentor newer team members

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Quality or Manufacturing or GE Leadership Program Graduate in lieu of experience
