Job Description Summary

Coordinate and expedite the planning process improvements according to production schedules within the planning team. Further develop material/production scheduling methodology. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline.

The role is aligned to connected flow transformation, supporting the GE Aerospace component repair site, driving fast paced change with frequent learning and iterations in order to develop supply planning and master production scheduling standards. High levels of operational judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the lead for new tool and process implementations, coordinate the end-to-end process improvement to help to achieve the team's and company's goals and priorities
  • Establish standard processes for the planning team under the guidance of Planning Team Leader, reflecting the diverse portfolio of GE Aerospace component repair site. Processes include, but are not limited to:
  • Interaction and information flow between departments
  • Standard communication and deliverables between departments
  • Standard planning tools across the planning team
  • Act as project manager for planning related short-, mid- and long-term process improvement activities
  • Schedule the daily operation for dedicated area(s) when necessary:
  • Coordinate and expedite material flow
  • Provide regular updates for partnering departments and communicates possible risk & proposes mitigation plan, maintain & update SAP system (delivery dates - both cross department and towards end customers, potential technical or other fulfillment risk)
  • Harmonize daily production plan with business target
  • Manage master planning, material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others.
  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
  • Optimize inventory and process improvements

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or High School Diploma with at least 5 years of experience in production / supply chain environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functionally
  • Profound knowledge of process analysis, project management
  • Strong data analytics background with planning and organizational skills, supply planning experience is preferred
  • Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively
  • Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed
  • Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative
  • Problem solver: growth mindset, experimental approach, willingness to reflect and iterate
  • Ability to communicate (verbal, written) in English and Hungarian (is a must)
