Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Define and manage the production process, including the selection and control of tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and ensure the effective application of new products, tools, or equipment on the shop floor.
- Develop a deep understanding of a specific technical discipline, leveraging prior experience and technical expertise to implement policies and strategies effectively.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of key business drivers and use this knowledge to achieve individual work objectives. Understand how the work of your team integrates with other teams and contributes to the broader organizational goals.
- Exercise judgment and propose alternative solutions within established parameters, with guidance as needed. Utilize prior experience and on-the-job training to address straightforward tasks, employing technical skills and analytical thinking to solve problems. May consult multiple internal sources outside of your own team to make informed decisions.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall production quality. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and support the implementation of lean tools and techniques.
- This role is likely to be an individual contributor with strong interpersonal skills or an early-stage people leader capable of hiring and developing talent. Provide informal guidance and support to new team members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma/GED with at least 7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and/or engineering).
- Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience.
Desired Characteristics
- Prior experience with vacuum furnace brazing.
- Prior experience with NADCAP process compliance.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
