Job Description Summary

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Plan and schedule material/production needs. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Monitor material flow from suppliers
  • By assessing supplier commit dates identify areas/parts where Pressure to Plan is generated and drive decision -making process to reduce it
  • Define strategies to face Pressure to Plan by coordinating various functions (e.g. Purchasing, Sourcing, Quality Engineering, Engineering) in order to achieve delivery date improvement
  • Act as Supply Chain point of contact for teams outside Supply Chain organization (Manuf. Programs, Engineering, Sourcing)
  • Engage and escalate priorities within company management and other functions
  • Communicate to Shops / Sourcing program priorities and work issues with program managers
  • Deal with Sourcing on critical orders to guarantee proper priorities and support solving critical shortages
  • Set allocation decisions for critical hardware (Spares vs Assembly)
  • Communicate updates and act as expert in Critical Material Reviews
  • Drive Supply Chain LOB's to track material coverage for selected programs

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Economics
  • Deep expertise in Manufacturing, Sourcing or other Supply Chain functions
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Strong relationship and leadership skills: able to influence, motivate and work effectively with diverse and cross-functional teams within a matrix environment
  • Deep knowledge of data processing and visualization tools (e.g. Spotfire, advanced MS Excel, ...)
  • Ability to simultaneously work on short term issues while keeping long term vision
  • Ability to quickly adapt and react to changes
  • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize the tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office SW, knowledge of some enterprise ERP (Oracle, SAP)
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
