Job Description Summary

The Lead Facilities Engineer will be the support for all structural related items, maintain facilities processes, and project manage facilities requests. Requires developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant technologies.

Job Description

In addition, the Lead Facilities Engineer will:

  • Capable of designing, engineering, troubleshooting structurally
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Assist in creation and maintaining of Plant Standards
  • Troubleshooting of new and old structural systems
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills required.
  • Develop new solutions under guidance and / or in a team setting.
  • Professionally and effectively communicated with Senior leadership.
  • Work in cross functional teams.
  • Experience in industrial construction and/or facilities.
  • Manage and supervise the construction of various industrial construction projects.
  • Interface with tradesmen, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to solve problems and complete successful projects.
  • Review construction documents to ensure coordination, determine feasibility & constructability.
  • Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Construction, Engineering, and/or Facility Management experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of Construction, Engineering, and/or Facility Management experience

Desired Characteristics and Experience:

  • Self-Motivated/Demonstrates Initiative - ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in overseeing and managing design and construction subcontractors.
  • Experience in Industrial environments (preferred, not required)
  • Hands-on construction/facilities management experience (i.e., onsite Facilities Management, onsite Project Management, onsite Construction Management)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability.
