Job Description Summary

As the Production Readiness Specialist for F404 assembly you will be responsible for ensuring the assembly area is set up and prepared to support future program volume. This role will focus primarily on workstation set up, ramp readiness, material flow and investment project management. In this role you'll interface across the Lynn site with engineering, facilities, materials, finance, plant services, the operation teams, and logistics regarding project execution matters. The role will operate with autonomy and a focus on ensuring key milestones are met so that F404 assembly is at the appropriate readiness state to support customer delivery.

Job Description

  • Drive the set up of the F404 production assembly area, create and execute on strategy to implement lean principles and prepare assembly line for future ramp volume.
  • Lead cross-functional team and be fully responsible for schedule, expenses, investment, and execution
  • Improve material flow and presentation, manage daily hardware issues and long term planning
  • Represent the customer (internally) for project specific issues.
  • Ensure safe, compliant and successful execution of all project obligations
  • Coordinate and perform administrative activities as per relevant PM processes, including developing of project budgets, track operation activities, manage equipment deliveries, indirect purchases, project schedules, requisitions, documentation requirements etc.
  • Participate in process & quality improvement and business initiatives and provide feedback on lessons learned to other departments.
  • To coordinate, plan and communicate of all work activities with the external and internal resources
  • Manage day-to-day project activities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Manufacturing or Manufacturing Engineering experience), plus 3 years of Manufacturing or Manufacturing Engineering experience or graduation from a GE Leadership Program (OMLP, MEDP).
