Job Description Summary
GE Aviation's Hybrid Electric Systems team is developing components for future advanced propulsion systems. The Thermal Management Fluid System Integration Engineer will play a critical role in the Hybrid Electric team, demonstrating leadership in developing advanced technologies, executing business priorities, operational strategy, and engaging across GE globally and with industrial and academic partners. The engineer contributes directly to GE Aviation's hybrid electric capability including the development of the joint NASA Electric Powertrain Flight Demonstrator program and GE's RISE (Revolutionary Innovation for Sustainable Engines) program. Activities aimed at design, validation, and development of thermal management systems including interaction with pumps, heat exchangers, and component cooling (motors, gearboxes, etc...).

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Act as technical focal for thermal management systems for fuselage power electronics cooling as well as nacelle cooling system for gearbox and motor/generator. Primary focused on hardware design and integration, and working with hardware owners/designers/vendors on detailed design execution.
- Manage integration of Thermal Management Systems for the program and act as the primary point of contact across businesses and functions.
- Support EVM activities as it relates to Thermal Management Systems for the EPFD contract.
- Primary focal for TMS requirements and provide leadership for ensuring requirements are appropriate and met.
- Conceptual or theoretical activities related to the principles of engineering, physics, and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. Includes the analysis of static (structural) and dynamic (rotordynamics, vibrations) behaviour of mechanical systems
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an engineering environment or field.
- This role requires experience in the Engineering/Technology & Mechanical Engineering.

- Experience in fluid system design or fluid system components such as pumps, heat exchangers, valves, gearboxes, or other fluid carrying components.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
