Job Description Summary
Lead Engineer will execute design programs while owning hardware on GE90/GP HPT module. In this role, you will be responsible to maintain part for the life cycle of the engine including aspects on solving, field issue resolution, RCA, TOPS8D, Quality Issue, Repair, and cost reduction. you will manage field issues, lead service's contract profitability, and deliver solutions that meet business needs within functional area(s) of expertise.
In this role, you will report to GE90/GP Aft Engine LCE Design Sub-Section Manager, GE Aerospace Bangalore Engineering Center. In addition, you will interface with organizations such as the Engineering, MRO, supply chain, CEO and services organization with aviation.

Site Overview
Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Independently own and execute GE90/GP HPT Rotor programs requiring design, analysis, test, or integration to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements
- Be the first point of contact from LCE on any query from sourcing/supplier/fleet/repair/customer
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Collaborate and Communicate with all stakeholders on project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate
- Responsible to support shops for Departure record resolution and shop visit cost reduction
- Should network & establish strong connections with Commodity CTHs, Cross functions teams viz. Shop, SC, Repair, MAE, CTPs and Shop technical teams to achieve the desired outcomes for module
- Demonstrate clear thinking, strong technical articulation, manage handoffs between different organizations.
- Formulate and implement plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules, and customer commitments.
- Leverage digital tools & analyze the data insights to drive appropriate actions on ESM limit extensions, special procedures, etc
- Adopt Lean in day-to-day work for process improvements
- Demonstrate collaborative work style and team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors/ Master's Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Aviation Engines or Turbo machinery Engineering position (design, analysis, systems, services)
- Exposure to rotor design and Manufacturing processes will be added advantage
- Strong Design creativity and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong project management skills including cross-functional coordination of activities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Desired Characteristics
- Familiarity with High Pressure Turbine module
- Rotating parts analysis, design & manufacturing experience
- Previous experience in component hardware ownership role will be added advantage
