Job Description Summary

The Global Building & Infrastructure Systems Leader is responsible for all aspects pertaining to Building Automation Systems and Building Management Systems for GE Aerospace. In this role there will be a direct partnership and support of frontline operations and sites to ensure building and infrastructure systems are established, maintained, and operated to drive facilities utilities efficiencies. Provide technical expertise to support the integration of multiple systems (electrical, mechanical, and building infrastructure) to analyze and provide optimum solutions for energy consumption.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Direct day to day global support of building and infrastructure automation and management systems
  • Develop and implement global standards for Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Building Management Systems (BMS), which support Carbon Reduction Strategy
  • Ability to provide demand side energy and utility conservation program management to the global commercial and industrial footprint by performing reviews of energy consuming systems and equipment including maintenance functions, operating practices, and physical conditions.
  • Develop financial budget plans and expectations for implementation and sustainment of global standard for BAS/BMS systems.
  • Train or direct team members or other resources as assigned and perform some planning activities as required for project delivery.
  • Act as a technical leader for utilities equipment, preventative maintenance, projects, cost estimating, scheduling, and labor analysis
  • Work with personnel from frontline operations and global operations on various activities required to accomplish assigned projects.
  • Monitor and maintain preventative maintenance system to incorporate BAS/BMS to for building and infrastructure reliability.
  • Direct resource for colleagues and frontline teams, sharing in-depth knowledge of best practices, how to integrate multiple systems for outcomes, and working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
  • Contributes towards strategy and policy development for GE Aerospace

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or University (or a High School Diploma / GED with at least 10 years of manufacturing, project engineering or maintenance / construction planning experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience delivering energy and utility reduction projects
  • Experience working in or around a water treatment facility, Compressed Air Systems, HVAC systems, industrial steam boilers / turbines, and similar industrial processes.
