As an AI Engineer with a Natural Language Processing focus, you will design, experiment, analyze, improve, and apply new AI NLP solutions. Along the way, you will investigate concepts from their fundamentals (theoretical and empirical) to their prototype and creation as new solutions.
You will be responsible for requirements verification as well as creating and managing the backlog.

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities:
• Develop software solutions for the application of Artificial Intelligence to aerospace programs, ultimately impacting the product and service offerings of GE Aerospace as well as its internal tools and practices
• Implement and analyze prototypes and solutions for real-world problems
• Employ software libraries, tools, and practices to implement efficient, scalable, and reusable solutions
• Collaborate with GE Aerospace's other AI / NLP experts to define and pursue strategic advancement of new technologies
• Mentor earlier-career developers in technical and non-technical skills

Qualifications:
• experience in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing.
• commercial or industrial experience
• Demonstrated ability to write Python code for quick demonstration of ideas.
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable Python code for robust, efficient, scaled-up software systems with proper testing suite.
• Basic Software Development Skills: Git, SQL, Databases, API Development, Writing Documentation.
• Basic Dev-Ops skills: Docker, CI/CD, Testing, Cloud Computing (preferably AWS), Infrastructure as a Code.
Desired Characteristics:
- Expertise in one or more of: Large Language Models, Retrieval Augmented Generation, CAD Registration, Agentic AI, Knowledge Graphs, Search Engines, Named Entity Extraction, Chatbots.
- Data Preprocessing: Strong skills in data preprocessing, including cleaning, normalization, and transformation of text data.
- Innovation: Ability to innovate and propose novel solutions to complex problems in the aerospace domain.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Experience working in cross-disciplinary teams, integrating AI solutions with other engineering domains.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and delivery of AI projects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in AI and NLP.
- User-Centric Design: Understanding of user-centric design principles to ensure AI solutions meet user needs and improve user experience.
