Help invent the future of flight, lift people up, and bring them home safely as a GE Aerospace intern/co-op! You'll build leadership and technical skills in a supply chain/manufacturing role, working on challenging, real-world problems and solve for what the world needs. You'll build relationships with interns/co-ops and leaders. And you'll prepare for a potential full-time position after graduation in one of our fantastic leadership programs or a direct hire opportunity.
You will gain broad exposure to manufacturing with an array of opportunities to apply Lean and Six Sigma principles in a shop operations environment and improve state-of-the-art manufacturing methods. Examples of experiences include conventional & non-conventional machining, welding & joining, CNC programming, repair & overhaul, and lean manufacturing. Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Innovative initiatives would only see the light of day with a dedicated team to deliver them. Supply Chain organizations combine passionate people, cutting-edge technology, and a culture of continuous improvement to provide the highest quality products to our customers. - Exposure to state-of-the-art methods of manufacturing,
- Supporting manufacturing and repair processes for component hardware and/or overall engine assembly,
- Maintaining high-quality standards via risk assessment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and the application of statistical controls
- Ensuring safe work conditions via Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives
- Applying Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive productivity, on-time delivery, process capability, and stable operations in our increasingly complex and demanding environment
- Supporting delivery efforts for sourced components by working with our GE shops and suppliers while building project management skills, negotiation skills, and business acumen
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale
- Attending a full-time registered and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program (accepted majors are listed below)
- Willingness and ability to work in Auburn, AL, Dayton, OH, Hookset, NH, Madisonville, KY, or Strother, KS
- Reliable transportation, as many of our sites do not have public transportation available

Benefits:
Pay rates for this position begin at $20/hour and increase for each undergraduate year completed.
