Job Description
Edison is a one-of-a-kind programme combining continued study with experience of the full engineering lifecycle.
If you love technology and want a career in Aviation Engineering, the Edison Engineering Development Program (EEDP) is for you! EEDP is an entry-level engineering program consisting of rotational assignments and technical training. GE Aerospace is committed to the development of tomorrow's engineers, who have a real passion for technology and a drive for technical excellence. Across the 2 years you will join a multi-cultural team and experience four rotational assignments, which may involve Design, Systems, Hardware Engineering motivated by real GE Aerospace business priorities. The program is designed to accelerate your professional development through challenging technical training and a variety of business-critical assignments. Edison graduates have the technical and business foundation to innovate and create the future of Aerospace with GE.
Essential Responsibilities
- Development of problem-solving and time management skills through Technical Classes, Workshops, Formal Reports and Presentations.
- Opportunities to meet with and present to influential GE Aerospace Leaders.
- Opportunities to improve your Professional Development Skills, including Teamwork, Leadership, Understanding Self/Others and Presentations.
- A genuinely collaborative environment, which is prevalent on the EEDP, with a committed team ethos, and a highly supportive professional and social community.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Passion for aviation and aerospace.
- Recent or soon-to-be graduate with an MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing, Controls, Mechatronics, or Materials. Other Engineering related majors will be considered for example Physics. Your MSc needs to be completed prior to the end of the 2-year programme.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Related internship or work experience.

- Strong dedication to a career in technology and a real passion for engineering.
- Prior intern or research experience in design engineering or manufacturing.
- Demonstrated analytical approach to problem solving, learning agility.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms.
- Demonstrated and enthusiastic leadership and teambuilding skills.
- Strong team and interpersonal skills, ability to work in project teams in an international environment.
- Extra-curricular activities for example science clubs/volunteering/sports team.
