As a Full Stack Software Engineer in the DES department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support GE Aerospace's mission. You will work collaboratively with a team of engineers to design, implement, and optimize software applications, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and performance. This role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

• Collaborate with software developers and the engineering team to maintain current platforms and extend its capabilities for future solutions.

• Apply principles of Software Design Life Cycle using Agile& Lean methodologies.

• Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.

• Build features such as Micro Services, Web Applications and Database Queries.

• Understand and optimize performance metrics.

• Work on the design and implementation of core data structures and algorithms.

Education Qualification

Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

Desired Technical Expertise:

• Experience in ReactJS or other JavaScript frameworks.

• Experience in Java, Python (or other Object-Oriented Programming languages).

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra).

• Experience using Distributed Version Control (Git).

• Experience using Software Development Methodologies such as Lean/Agile/XP/others.

• UI & UX Experience is plus.

• General understanding of the impacts of technology choice to the Software Development Life Cycle.
