Key Responsibilities include:
Summary
- Operation of NDT inspection methods in the detection of Surface & sub-surface defects in engine components.
- Prepare & process parts for inspection, including interpretation of indications & documentation of inspection results.
- Complete & document necessary Quality Control checks.
- Maintain Certification in accordance with EN4179 and company requirements.
- Adhere to Company Procedure in all of its activity but with particular reference to the Quality system, EH&S and Compliance and Integrity
- Ensure that all required documentation is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with requirements of the Quality system
- Support Lean Six Sigma for continuous improvement of existing processes and procedures

Responsibilities
- Contribute to a positive work climate
- Support problem solving within the group and within scope of authority in accordance with Quality system
- Communicate effectively within a team
- Support execution of daily targets within FPI to meet internal Gate and external Customer TAT.
- Follow leadership of Lead Mechanic striving to meet team targets set out by Lead Mechanic and/or Cell Leader
- Liaise with Lead mechanic to support coverage of all shifts (annual leave, shift swaps, overtime, etc)
Process Area Support
- Liaise with Shop Support Functions; Engineering and NDT Level 3 to resolve any process related issues
- Raise maintenance related issues to Lead Mechanic
- Deputise for Lead Mechanic as required
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Previous NDT Level II certification/experience in one or more of the following NDT disciplines PT or MT.
- Previous EN4179 Level II NDT certification/experience within the aviation industry in one of the following PT or MT
