As Forging and Raw Material Buyer, within the Avio Aero's Supply Chain team and directly reporting to the Commodity Leader, you will manage the buying process for a given set of goods. You will apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. In this role, you will have knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others, and you will be aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

• Manage the sourcing process, from evaluation of requestor's requirements to PO placement
• Understand the Materials Commodity needs based on the Commodity Strategy in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing team and Technical Expert-CTH
• Support the strategy and robustness definition and execution for the specific set of goods within the Materials Commodity
• Manage Supplier with the aim to strength relationship with strategic suppliers and create action plan for critical suppliers, in collaboration with strategic team
• Perform spent analysis for the given set of goods within Materials commodity and with reference to the Operational Plan and Strategy goals (including deflation, cost out, days to pay)
• Apply cost and price analysis techniques, using available expertise from supporting organizations
• Negotiate PO and purchase contracts, following applicable company and government regulations
• Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects
• Build a strong relationship with broader Team to collaborate and share opportunities
• Support Supplier Quality Teams and Procurement team to resolve Quality and Delivery critical issues
• In performing your activities, it will be mandatory for you to maintain the highest level of integrity and ethics in all dealings with supply base and internal customers
• Learn and adopt Poblem Solving techniques and Flight Deck

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Chemistry/Material Science from an accredited university/college or Technical Diploma with planning/sourcing experience
• Previous experience in Buying-Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning involving supplier management
• Proven analytical and problem solving skills, with sound judgment and a diplomatic attitude
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
• Ability to handle several activities simultaneously, manage multiple priorities and resolve appropriately
• Proficient in MS Office (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word)

• Fluent in Italian and English language
• Work Visa and Italian citizenship, in accordance with local regulation, is required
