As the EDC FLIGHT DECK Lean Leader, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing lean manufacturing principles across our operations. You will own the training strategy making sure the lean concepts and the lean methodologies are understood allowing the teams to implement solutions connected to the business priorities. Your role will be critical in ensuring that we meet our SQDC goals and maintain our commitment to safety and quality.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Implement FLIGHT DECK Lean Operating Model - Lead the implementation of the FLIGHT DECK lean operating model across various departments, ensuring seamless integration of lean principles in both transactional and operational aspects.
Drive Continuous Improvement - Conduct value stream mapping, facilitate problem solving & Kaizen events, and utilize lean tools and methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, improve processes, and enhance overall efficiency.
Develop and Maintain Standard Work Procedures - Create and uphold standard work procedures to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with all safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Train, Mentor & Coach - Develop team members at all levels of the organization to build lean skills and become practitioners, with a focus not only on tools but most importantly on behaviors. Mentor & coach team members and leadership on problem-solving methodologies, and the FLIGHT DECK model to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams - Work across the organizational matrix to align strategy and vision with business process improvements, solving complex problems and implementing sustainable solutions that contribute to overall business goals.
Monitor and Report on Performance Metrics - Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and/or TTIs related to lean initiatives, driving measurable improvements and ensuring alignment with SQDC goals.
Champion Change Management - Utilize exceptional change management skills to lead transformation efforts, acting as a change agent in implementing demand flow and lean tools, and engaging stakeholders to ensure technology and processes are positioned for success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid experience in Engineering and/or experience of Supply Chain / Manufacturing experience
- Strong knowledge of lean principles, including Kaizen, Hoshin Kanri (HK), and Standard Work.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication (in English & Polish) and interpersonal skills.
Desired Characteristics:
- Master's degree in Science or Business Administration
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus.
- Previous people leader experience.
- Experience in teaching, coaching, practicing, and applying lean methods (i.e. VSM, Cell design, 3P, TPM, 5S, standard work, leader standard work, problem solving, Kanban and lean transformations).
- Domain expertise and/or familiarity with core EDC process (new product development, component or systems design, sciences, repair development, product definition, etc.)
- Experience leading Kaizen events (a plus if in other global sites).
- Ability to guide and lead others not in a direct reporting relationship.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching Lean principles to Sr. Leaders of an organization and implementing the strategy site wide.
- Ability to develop strategies and execute plans with a sense of urgency.
