Sets vision and strategy for structural casting commodity in partnership with cross functional stakeholders that captures voice of customer. Identifies present & future supply chain (internal & external) capability, technology, value, & capacity gaps. Understands technical products, customer needs, and supply landscape by analyzing global markets, supplier financial and operational data to identify supply risk and opportunity. Creates a comprehensive competitive advantage by partnering with suppliers to increase capability (operationally & technically) across commodities to ensure progressive stability of the business through delivery and commercial actions including procurement strategies

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead commodity Sourcing with accountability over direct/indirect buy, and cost reduction targets
  • Develop, communicate and execute supply chain strategies, including supplier selection, supplier development and global supply base management.
  • Influence and partner in the development of qualified suppliers who deliver quality hardware, on time, at cost for the commodity.
  • Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance; escalate issues and drive root cause analysis and corrective action when improvement is required
  • Deliver against annual cost out targets and drive results to continually and systematically reduce costs and while ensuring no disruption to service levels
  • Ensure supplier compliance with regulatory and reputation requirements
  • Execute Supplier Relationship Management strategies in order to build long-term relationships with suppliers to provide mutual beneficial relationship to drive stable operations
  • Partner across internal supply chain, product lines, and engineering to proactively mitigate risks
  • Partner with Supplier Quality to drive quality initiatives for Sourcing
  • Responsible for people management activities for the organization including recruiting, performance management, compensation, and organizational structure
  • Contribute to evaluation of suppliers' capabilities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • At least 8 additional years of experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain Forecasting/Planning, Supply Chain Operations, or Commercial/Sales
  • Willingness and ability to travel 30% of the time
