Job Description Summary

GE Aerospace is a newly independent public company looking to grow its litigation team. The group handles diverse disputes including commercial matters, product liability, intellectual property, and other regulatory matters.

We're looking for an experienced litigator to lead matters in US and international courts as well as in arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution forums. This lawyer will also serve as an advisor to compliance and business leaders in monitoring regulatory changes and assessing and mitigating litigation-related risks.

• Advising business units regarding legal risks arising from disputes and helping to shape relevant policy/operating guidelines.

• Leading other lawyers and working with business leaders in developing creative solutions to address disputes and other complex problems.

• Coordinating key internal stakeholders to help the organization reach decisions on key issues.

• Managing external law firms, vendors, and associated budgets.

Required Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited university

• 10+ years of legal practice with a focus on litigation.

Desired Characteristics

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

• Demonstrated ability to apply judgment and resolve complex problems.

• Significant experience in managing matters before US courts and/or international arbitration venues.

• Experience in the aerospace or defense industry a plus.
