Job Description Summary
The Coatings Lean Lab Engineering Technician will support various projects related to coatings in the Supply Chain Division. They will be responsible for the daily execution of assigned tasks and projects. This individual will be self-directed working within defined parameters and work plans to meet day-to-day and short-term objectives of moderate complexity and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work safely to deliver coatings on coupons using thermal spray processes, development/prototype hardware, and low-rate production hardware including required tasks such as planning, surface preparation, machining, inspection, and application
- Take ownership for assignment lab areas including maintaining equipment, ordering supplies, environmental health and safety, and shop cleanliness
- Work with engineers to complete assigned projects including development and documentation of process improvements
- Follow technical plans to meet desired manufacturing objectives
- Meet quality system requirements for Aerospace applications
- Adhere to a detailed schedule for a complex engineering and / or manufacturing development work scope
- Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
- Share engineering information, promote open dialogue, and support an inclusive work environment
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks are consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Maintain currency and compliance with GE policies, procedures and directives, including vouchering, reporting, operating, environmental and safety practices

Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience operating different types of thermal spray systems
- Experience with programming and modifying Fanuc Robotics teach pendant programs, including offline robotic programming (RoboGuide, HandlingPro, etc.)
- Experience making recommendations on tooling and masking design/setup
- Experience in project management and monitoring progress, ordering materials, installing equipment, and maintaining systems

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
