Roles and Responsibilities
The Engineering Leader position implements, maintains, and controls a plan for the creation, validation, and improvement of methods to manufacture and inspect parts, with the goal of leading the Component Process & CNC Engineering team and their activities to develop and document processes intime to start production.

The Engineering Leader ensures that problems in the manufacturing or inspection methods, or documentation, identified by any process are evaluated, understood, and solved with the goal of creating a stable process. Specifically, the Engineering Leader ensures that for each issue within the process, the root cause is understood in every detail and corrective actions within the responsibility of Engineering and CNC are identified and completed in time.
The Engineering Leader is part of the PFMEA team and is responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the PFMEA and the active interaction between process descriptions and PFMEA.
The Engineering Leader supports projects for cost reduction, continuous improvement, and initiatives aiming toward a paperless company, adjusting the processes and tools used in process and quality engineering as needed.
Continuous improvement of Engineering and CNC processes is also part of the Engineering Leader's responsibilities.
The Engineering Leader is the disciplinary head of Process Engineers, Jr. Process Engineers, and CNC Programmers within the Component Team.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in similar positions
- 5+ years of experience in leadership roles.
- 5+ years of experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- 5+ experience in choice of measurement methods, inspection planning and accountability concepts.
- Knowledge of Siemens machine control and DMG machines preferable but not mandatory.
