About this Position
The F404/F414 Design Engineering & Production Integration engineer will provide support and integration efforts to the Lynn Assembly and Test Organization. The engineer will proactively address assembly planning questions and design intent questions from the shop floor while reaching into the design organization for support and leading efforts to closure. This role is best suited for an engineer with a passion for solving new and complex problems that require a collaborative approach across multiple engineering disciplines. You will work effectively and efficiently in person and across geographic sites with teammates and adjacent organizations will be necessary to achieve project outcomes.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
- This work would include mechanical design engineering and engine program leadership.
- Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility.
- Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
- Uses strong judgment to make decisions or solve complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.
- Takes new perspective on existing solutions.
- Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.
- Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university
- Advanced degree in engineering OR a minimum of 2 years of experience in a design or similar engineering position, inclusive of internships and/or co-ops.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience with hardware design of structural and/or mechanical systems components
- Demonstrated expertise in CAD design and analysis tools, especially Unigraphics/NX, ANSYS classic.
- Experience and familiarity with GD&T principles and reading drawings.
- Experience in manufacturing, especially high-precision, turbomachinery components.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence others and lead small teams.
- Strong oral, written, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems independently.
- Ability to independently organize, document, plan and execute simultaneous projects while aligning with business priorities.
